Sometimes the beast inside has to break out. Some Viking warriors put themselves into such frenzied aggression that they were nearly unstoppable in battle… they were called Berserkers. They often wore wolf or bear hides into battle, which served as light armor while adding to their ferocious demeanor. Some believe that the stories of berserkers evolved into the legend of werewolves.
